Education Greece is a new demo portal for young people who want to find information about educational institutions and their study programmes in Greece. Michael Persson, the owner of Clever Click, the company behind this project, asked me to design a logo which could stand alone and be used as a symbol in many other digital and printed applications and merchandising material.
A book is probably the most obvious solution as symbol for education and knowledge, but I wanted to use it in a more unique way, aligned with the company's identity which was, at the time, only the name and the purpose.
I tried to design the book using recognisable elements from the name, like the initial letters "E" for education and "G" for Greece. The resulting "hybrid" is a unique, "strong" and easily recognisable logo that can be used in many applications and sizes.
